”We hired Winship to play at our wedding celebration in Connecticut and are really happy with our decision. The booking process is simple—Lacey is always quick to respond to emails and easy to work with. A few days before our wedding party she emailed me with a tentative timeline and made it pretty easy to go back and forth with her to figure out exactly what we wanted for music and what time frame would work best for our event. When I told her a bunch of our early-thirties crowd was really looking forward to dancing she tailored the timeline so Winship would play three sets early in the evening during cocktails and dinner and then we’d have a playlist of all our favorite dance songs toward the end of the evening. Her suggestion worked out perfectly—everyone got to enjoy Winship’s amazing talent early on and then dance all night once it got dark out. And though we had a specific pre-planned dance playlist they were really accommodating of our guests requests to play specific songs. My favorite part of our entire wedding celebration was getting to dance our “first dance" with my husband to our favorite song, “Wonderful Tonight” which Winship played beautifully. Our guests raved about the wonderful musician all night during our party and throughout the week following I got a bunch of emails from friends asking for his contact info so they can book him for their weddings. ”To start off, someone who can maintain their cool when a situation is getting out of hand is someone you need during your event. With that being said, Winship was the DJ for my sister's wedding a few weeks ago and even though it was my first time being in charge of finding the DJ for such a big day, I was relieved that my money was well invested. Firstly during the cocktail hour, he played his guitar, singing a lot of popular numbers and adding his own twist to the musicality, and set a very relaxing tone for that hour. He was then able to control the crowd and had everyone on their feet once the formalities were over during the reception. There was a minor music issue which was out of his control, an error on my part, but Winship and Lacey were able to remedy the situation as quickly as possible to make sure the party went on. ”My wife and I entrusted Winship to play at our wedding recently and we could not have made a better decision. To give you an idea of how important music was to us, I married a musician so basically in her eyes, it was the tied for most important thing along with her dress. He played at our ceremony, had the trio during our cocktail hour and had him DJ our dance party. Seriously, he's a jack of all and it all sounded fantastic. He's got a souful vibe that we loved and was perfect for our ceremony and cocktail hour but his music selection during the dance party was spot on with both our older and younger crowds. If all of that wasn't enough, you also could not get a nicer couple to work with. ”I came across Winship on Gigsalad in hopes to find a musician for my wedding. We were having a coffee themed wedding and we both knew that we wanted live music. We couldn't really afford to have a full live band, so we thought it would be really sweet to have a one-man "coffee-shop" style acoustic guitarist. I found Winship and looked at his bio and requested a quote which was exceptionally reasonable. He had a great song list and after falling in love with the "Hey Ho" video, we decided to book him.
